What is recorded here

Childrens Burial Ground occupies a small D-shaped patch of pasture beside the ruined Ballydaly church in County Cork, Ireland. The area is wide enough for a dozen people to stand across, yet narrow enough that grass and forgotten markers can swallow most of it. Children may have been buried there because the church believed they deserved a place apart, or because local custom set aside a smaller corner for the youngest deaths. The absence of names does not reduce the sadness; it widens it, leaving behind a quiet field where several small lives still belong to the earth.

In level pasture, immediately S of ruins of Ballydaly church (9489); heavily overgrown, roughly D-shaped area (c. 8m N-S; c. 18m E-W) with some low uninscribed gravemarkers.
