Unbaptised children slept beneath the eastern floor of Pollboy church, denied the ordinary graveyard but trusted to hold the building steady. Faint limestone lines still mark their east-west graves, while an infant's slab under the south window waits for 1828 to stop being a surprise. The church does not exclude them; it leans on their small weight to remain upright.

Within E half of Pollboy church (GA088-020001-). In discussing the church, Egan (1960, 26) notes that it is 'not enclosed [by a graveyard] and only unbaptised children are buried there'. The visible remains comprise very poorly preserved irregular lines of limestone blocks indicating graves oriented E-W. There is an inscribed slab, dedicated to an infant and bearing the date 1828, under S window of the church.
