Children's burial ground in Derrycreeveen — Report the wrong picture

No one should flatten a children's burial ground, yet the rath and its cillineach disappeared together, leaving only a cross-inscribed stone twenty metres away to hint at what was lost. That is not a small mistake. It is a warning about how quickly human cruelty can be called development.

In a rath (CO128-026001-). According to local information, an area within the rath was used as a 'cillíneach' or children's burial ground but it was levelled at the same time as the rath. There are no visible remains of this burial ground. A cross-inscribed stone (CO128-026003-) stands c. 20m to the SE.
