What is recorded here

Children died young in Cashel and adults carried them across hot stone to a flat strip of earth beside the fields. They dug shallow holes, laid small bodies down and buried them without ceremony. The land kept what the children lost.

There are no specific features to indicate the 'Caldragh' recorded here (M.R. Colhoun). It was located on a level area between stony ground to the N and cultivated land to the S.
