What is recorded here
Children's burial ground in Ballyglass (clanmorris By., Crossboyne Par.) is a rath where local tradition says unbaptised babies were buried. Small stone markers stood there until the first half of the 20th century, but they have vanished. What remains is a quiet field holding the kind of loss people stop naming out loud.
In a rath (MA111-065----). According to local tradition, the rath interior was used for the burial of unbaptised babies. Small stone gravemarkers were still in evidence in the first half of the 20th century, but are now no longer visible.
