What is recorded here

Ulster History Circle recorded the life of Charles Lever, novelist 1806-1872, in a cottage at 22a The Promenade during 1832-1837. That small address preserves the years when a future writer lived beside the promenade before his novels carried his name across Britain. The plaque turns an ordinary house number into a marker for the making of a literary life.
