Suttonians Rugby Club pitches cover stone-lined graves found in 1937, where east-west cists held bare bones without goods. Players now run above quiet dead men, their boots pressing soil that once closed over nameless lives. The field turns green and loud while the grave holes wait beneath, unchanged and patient under every match.

A cemetery of stone-lined graves were discovered on the present grounds of the Suttonians Rugby Club in 1937. These skeletons were extended E-W in long stone cists (L c. 1.8). There were no grave goods (Raftery, J. 1941, 303). Monitoring (Licence no. 04E1647) of the installation of floodlighting did not identify any remains. Not visible at ground level.
