What is recorded here
Located in a rath (MA071-167001-).
A Man-made underground passage, marked as 'Caves', is shown on the 1838 OS 6-inch map in the NW quadrant of the rath. The rath has been levelled but its outline can still be traced. A slight surface depression (diam. c. 5m) in the S half may point to an underlying Man-made underground passage. A large slab, possible a displaced roof lintel, is visible amidst an accumulation of field clearance stones at the roots of an ash tree on the SW perimeter of the rath.
