What is recorded here
In a rath (SL039-091001). According to local information, a shallow surface depression (diam c. 2m), marked by nettles, within the interior of the rath close to the scarp at W marks the location of the blocked-up entrance to a Man-made underground passage. The entrance opened into a drystone-built passage that may have extended to N.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
