Centrally placed within a cashel (GA103-062001-). A plan and description of this drystone-built Man-made underground passage by Knox and Redington (1916, 184-6) indicates that it consisted of two chambers connected by a drop-hole creep. The 1st chamber (L 7.3m; Wth 5.3m) ran N-S. Its S half was filled with stone. Near the N end of the W wall the drop-hole creep and a small passageway (L 3.1m; Wth 1.3m), running E-W, lead to the 2nd chamber (L 4.7m; Wth 1.7m), which also ran N-S. Access was gained to the 1st chamber via a displaced roof lintel. On inspection, apart from a flat area of stones to the W of centre, no visible surface trace of the Man-made underground passage survived.
