What is recorded here

Castlelyons Church stands roofless inside a medieval tower shadow, where eighteenth-century stone wraps an older ghost. The Barrymores built their chapel around the ruined predecessor, forcing new prayer to share space with forgotten death. Its carved chancel arch and tracery window still cut through the rain, while grave markers stretch back to 1681 beside the graveyard wall. The building does not explain itself; it layers itself, keeping both eras alive under one open sky.
Castlelyons Church is recorded as a ruins in County Cork. Its open map record supplies this location and any linked names or public references.
