What is recorded here

Kilcornan Castle stands in ruin near Dunkellin, County Galway, a tower house reduced to weathered stone and memory. It may have watched the coastline or guarded a local family, but no clear record survives to confirm that purpose. What remains is a shape in the landscape, waiting for someone to imagine the lives lost inside it.
