What is recorded here
Castle stood roofless in Ticknevin when surveyed in 1655-6, its stones exposed and purpose unrecorded. It may have been a tower house, but changed boundaries erased the exact spot. What remains is a gap where a building should be, remembered only through the shape of its absence.
Recorded on the Down Survey (1655-6) as an apparently roofless building, possibly a tower house. However, the townland boundaries appear to have changed considerably since then and The exact location of this monument is unknown.
