One castle keeps its shape but loses its location. It may stand anywhere near Kyle now, hidden under grass or road works, waiting for someone to stop looking for a name and start watching the ground.

Unlocated castle within the townland of Kyle in the parish of Solloghodbeg as indicated on 17th-century Down Survey (1655-6) map for the area and described in the Civil Survey (1654-6) as 'On the lands of Ratheene stands a stumpe of a castle out of repayre' (Simington 1934, vol. 2, 55).
