What is recorded here
Garryhundon once held a castle, though no wall or room remains visible to mark the claim. Clarke named the lost structure in 1990, leaving behind a hole where a building should be. The land may still carry the shape of that absence, waiting for someone to notice the ground has changed.
Clarke (Carloviana 1990-1, 25) refers to a castle in this townland. The exact location of the castle in Garryhundon townland is unknown.
