Castle in Ballybeg is a phantom in County Tipperary, marked on a 1656 map but never found. It may have stood beneath Tullaghmelan Rectory, yet no old stone has ever shown itself. A castle that refuses discovery is either hiding or never existed at all.

There is no reference to a castle in Ballybeg in the Civil Survey (1654-6), however, a castle is marked in this general location on the Down Survey map (1655-6). The castle was provisionally located to Tullaghmelan Rectory, however this building has no evidence of any early fabric. The castle remains unlocated within the townland.
