Castle (in ruins) — Report the wrong picture

What is recorded here

Middlequarter is a castle only in local tradition, not in fact. The land held a rath when Thomas FitzHarris owned it in 1641, yet no castle appears beside that name. Maps later repeated the false label until it became true.

Described as 'Castle (in Ruins)' with surviving remains on the 1840 ed. and as 'Castle (Site of)' on the 1927 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, but the monument is a rath (WA031-046001-). There is no record of a castle here other than local tradition (OS Name Book). Land at Ballynure and Lisnefinley was owned by Thomas FitzHarris in 1641 but there is no mention of a castle (Simington 1942, 32). Simington, R. C. (ed.)
