What is recorded here

Casheldoo is a ruined stone ringfort on a gentle Donegal hillside where a penal altar still marks the south quadrant. The fort lost most of its wall to men and time, yet the stones remain arranged around a clear circular space. In good pasture and quiet light, the place still invites reverence, memory, and the kind of patience that builds sacred things slowly.

Internal diam. 19m. 'Casheldoo'. Only sections of the wall-footing of the former circular enclosure survives to a height of .4m and even this appears to be rebuilt. The wall has been removed altogether in the S and SE quadrants. A pile of stone in the S quadrant was used as a 'penal alter'. It is situated on the N gentle slope of a hill in good pasture.
