Carn

This is a National Monument in State care (no. 518). Carn A in the Carrowkeel passage-tomb cemetery. On top of a rock outcrop, on a promontory in the Bricklieve Mountains. A grass-covered oval cairn (diam. c. 12m; H 2.5m). The main concentration of passage tombs at Carrowkeel (SL040-088----; SL040-089----; SL040-090001-; SL040-093----; SL040-094----) lies c. 1.5km to NE.
