What is recorded here

Carn is a low, flat-topped mound of earth and stone on a slight rise in North Galway, measuring nearly twenty-eight metres across and barely one metre high. Grass smothers most of the structure, though considerable quantities of stone still break through on the east side and faint wall lines ghost beneath the turf to the southwest. The cairn has lost its shape and purpose, leaving behind a broad scar of memory rather than a clear monument.

On a slight rise in otherwise low-lying countryside. What survives is a low subcircular flat-topped mound of earth and stone (N-S 27.9m, ESE-WNW 23m, max. H 1m at ESE) now mainly grass-covered. Considerable quantities of stone are visible on ESE side. Some grassed-over stone walls are evident to SW.
