Cairn is one of eight stones arranged in a rough arc inside an enclosure in County Kerry, Ireland. It stands 0.75m high under a sod skin, with hidden kerbing and protruding markers waiting to be read. The arc suggests people placed these stones deliberately, perhaps to mark a boundary, a memory or a ceremony now lost.
One of a group of eight cairns (see KE093-094002-, KE093-094003-, KE093-094004-, KE093-094005-, KE093-094006-, KE093-094007-, KE093-094009-) which are arranged in a rough arc in the E half of an enclosure (KE093-094001-). This sod-covered circular cairn (3.8m E-W; 3.5m N-S; H 0.75m) has possible kerbing protruding through the sod at its base at SW and NW. Stones also protrude through the upper part of the cairn at irregular intervals. Another cairn (KE093-094009-) lies 15m to the E.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.

A Neolithic cairn, likely dating to the Early to Middle Bronze Age, part of a ritual or funerary group within a larger enclosure; its alignment and grouping suggest communal or ceremonial significance.
