In tillage, on a gentle NW-facing slope and c. 5m E of a stream. This spread (31m NW-SE; 14m NE-SW) of heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil lies within an enclosure (CO053-088----). Because of overgrowth it was not possible to establish whether the spread extended W to the bank of the stream. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
