Situated in a broad fold on a gentle S-facing slope. An area of burnt and broken stone (diam. c. 25m) with a N-S stream immediately to the E. Burnt spread (WA015-085002-) is to the E, on the other side of the stream. Burnt mound in Kilnagrange is a Neolithic ritual or industrial site, dating to the 4th–3rd millennia BCE. Its significance lies in providing evidence of early human activity, possibly related to heat-treated stone use or ceremonial practices.
