Burnt mound in Killoran (moyne Par.)

Situated on flat bogland. Excavation revealed a mound (4.2m N-S; 2.9m E-W; 0.2m D) of burnt material 10m S of a fulacht fia (TN036-050067). No other features were identified in associated with this burnt mound. (Ó Néill 1999, Killoran 316, 99) The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary.
