On a gentle W-facing slope. A pit (dims 1.55m x 1.2m; max. D 0.45m) filled with burnt and broken stones and silt, was uncovered and excavated (01E0906) during monitoring for roadworks. The outline of a larger spread of burnt stones (dims 7m N-S; 4m E-W) was also traced. (O' Neill 2003)
