Burial mound in Ballydavis

This was the site of a burial mound that when it was being levelled as part of land reclamation revealed several human skeletons (LA013-027001-). No surface remains of the burial mound survive, site is now a gravel pit. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Laois' (Dublin Stationery Office, 1995) compiled by P. David Sweetman, Olive Alcock and Bernie Moran.
