Burial in Mullaghwillin

Situated in a low-lying landscape with the S-N Keeran River that forms the county boundary with Louth looping E c. 100-200m distant S-E-N. There is local information that some burials and a stone mortar were found while building a house in a field known as ‘Kilmore Field’ close to Hog’s Hill Bridge (SMR file). The exact location is not known but according to the Meath Field Names Project the field known as Cillmore Field is a long narrow field extending between roads that run to the NW and SE of Hog’s Hill Bridge and the only new structure in it is at the S end (OSAP: 1995).
