Burial in Funshog

In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 21 June 2012 Revised by: Claire Breen A cross-slab (LH017-059002-) and mortar found with human bones in Funshog townland in the nineteenth century may have originally come from the church (LH017-059001-). The slab has a plain, almost equal-armed cross on one side only (JRSAI 1973, 197-9). They are now in the National Museum, Dublin. (CLAJ 1944, 280)
