What is recorded here

Two small undressed stones, set 1.9m apart in a pasture field on Inis Mór, mark the grave of a drowned woman whose memory named the coast An Bhean Bháite. The alignment faces east and west, holding no ornament but a direction, as if the sea took her body and the land kept her shadow. People may have walked past those stones for generations, dropping a stone or speaking her name before crossing water, turning a burial into a warning and a warning into a ritual.
