Kilteenbane holds a semi-circular burial ground where eight upright stones and a large northern boulder form a twelve-metre line beside the Finglas river. The vague tradition claims the site buries the dead, although surface remains do not prove that use. The alternating tall and short stones stand like a forgotten rhythm along the water’s edge, waiting for someone to remember what they marked.

There is a vague tradition that this site is a burial ground but the present remains cannot be classified from a surface inspection alone. A very roughly semi-circular area, 30m N-S x 10m E-W, is defined along the straight W side by the bank of the Finglas river and on the E side by a few boulders, which appear to be naturally positioned, and 8 upright stones which, along with a large boulder to N, form an almost straight line measuring c. 12.5m NNW-SSE. The stones are alternatively tall and short and range in height from 1.35 to .65m. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey.
