Killiney graveyard once wore the stone in its wall, but the yard of the Roman Catholic chapel in Castlegregory holds it now. A bullaun is a prayer worn into rock, repeated until the stone itself learned the shape of asking. Move it from graveyard to chapel yard and you are not preserving inert rock; you are relocating a place where people practiced remembering. Martramane keeps that practice visible because the stone still presents the hollow made by human repetition.

This stone is 'now preserved in the yard of the Roman Catholic chapel in Castlegregory [see KE036-100----]', it was 'formerly incorporated in the wall of the graveyard [KE036-003002-]' at Killiney (Cuppage 1986, 305-7, no. 854).
