A bullaun stone, cut down to a square (dims c. 0.4m x 0.4m) with a single basin, is now secured onto the S wall of the entrance passage through the E range of the College (ME019-060008-). Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 28 January 2021

Likely dating to the early Christian period, bullaun stones were traditionally used for the ritual purification of holy relics or objects. Local folklore sometimes associates them with saintly activity or healing practices.
