On E edge of early ecclesiastical enclosure (CO140-043001-) large irregular boulder (0.9m x 0.5m; H 0.25m) with circular hollow (diam. 0.2m; D 0.08m) on upper surface. Likely dating to the early Christian period, this bullaun stone may have been used for ritual purposes, such as the preparation of holy water or as a site for pilgrimages. Similar stones are often associated with local saints or healing traditions in Irish folklore.
