Half of a bullaun stone (T 0.3m; original overall diam. c. 0.5m), discovered during field walking. Situated to E of mound (LH020-005004-), but probably turned up during land reclamation work in the adjacent field. (ASI field notes, 1982) Compiled by: Claire Breen Date of upload: 12 July 2012

Likely dating to the early Christian period, bullaun stones were often used for ritual purposes, such as anointing or as holy water basins, and may have had associations with local saints or pilgrimage traditions. Their bowl-like depressions suggest both practical and symbolic functions, possibly linked to healing or Christianization efforts in the area.
