What is recorded here

Located on a W-facing slope in gently rolling poorly drained pasture. The monument is not visible at ground level. In the Ordnance Survey Name Books it is mentioned that at this site “…while digging for gravel vast quantities of human bones were found”.
A Neolithic passage tomb; significant as an example of early megalithic funerary architecture in the region.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
