Single-span road bridge over railway line, opened 1872, originally single-arch. Reconstructed, 1988, producing present composition. Part creeper- or ivy-covered coursed or snecked rock faced limestone walls with benchmark-inscribed parapets having cut-granite coping. Single reinforced concrete span. Sited spanning railway line with unkempt embankments to railway line.

A bridge identified as an integral component of the later nineteenth-century civil engineering heritage of Enniscorthy on account of the connections with the extension of the Dublin, Wicklow and Wexford Railway (DWWR) line opened (1872) by the Dublin, Wicklow and Wexford Railway (DWWR) Company: meanwhile, a benchmark remains of additional interest for the connections with cartography and the preparation of maps by the Ordnance Survey (established 1824).
