A bridge is depicted to the W and upriver from a settlement cluster (CO087-141----) named 'Carrigoline town' on the Down Survey (1655-6) Barony map . The location of the bridge may correspond with the modern day bridge which spans the Owenboy River at Carrigaline town. However, currently the precise location of the bridge is unknown.
