Single-span rubble limestone railway bridge, built 1863, carrying railway over road. Round-headed arch having dressed limestone voussoirs and roughly dressed rubble stone soffit. Roughly dressed snecked limestone piers and battered abutments having roughly coursed limestone block parapet with render coping.
This robustly constructed bridge demonstrates good quality masonry typical of railway buildings in the latter half of the nineteenth century. It serves as a prominent reminder of the extent of the rail network in the past.
