Freestanding triple-arch road bridge, dated 1855. Comprising three camber-headed arches with tooled limestone voussoirs, keystones and dressed stone soffits springing from rusticated stone piers. Tooled stone corbels and stringcourse to piers, having dressed stone plinths with recent rendering and slightly curved V-cutwaters to north-east and south-west elevations. Tooled stone capping to cutwaters. Dressed stone spandrels surmounted by dressed limestone parapets with tooled limestone coping. Tooled limestone terminal piers flanking parapets. Recent cast-iron service pipe to south-west elevation mounted on cast-iron support beams. Recent freestanding rectangular tower to west end of south-west elevation having galvanised-steel platform. Tarmac road over bridge.

This fine mid nineteenth-century bridge is an impressive engineering achievement, displaying throughout its fabric, the great skill and craftsmanship of its builders. Varying textures within the bridge including tooled, dressed and rusticated limestone greatly enhance its visual appeal. The inclusion of corbels within the design provide an interesting structural feature and insight into the construction methods of the arches. Carved on keystone 'EGF 1855'.
