Single-span road bridge, built c.1885, spanning former railway line. Square-headed arch with cast-iron lintel. English bond red-brick parapet over deck with header coping, continued to east and west by projecting splayed snecked rubble stone walls with concrete coping and dressed brick quoins.

Built as part of the Cork, Bandon and South Coast Railway, this bridge is an interesting reminder of the extent of the rail network in the past. The red brick parapet and cast-iron utilised in its construction are typical of the mass produced materials which were used by the railway companies at the time, and contrast with the locally sources materials used for road bridge building in the area.
