Detached three-bay two-storey house, built c.1820, with attached three-bay two-storey former house to side (south), now in use as public house and restaurant. Single-storey lean-to addition and multiple recent single and two-storey extensions to rear (east). Pitched artificial slate roofs with uPVC clad eaves course, roughcast rendered chimneystacks, cast-iron and replacement aluminium rainwater goods. Lean-to artificial slate roof to rear addition. Rendered walls throughout, having rendered platbands and first floor sill course. Chamfered rendered plinth to side (north) elevation. Square-headed window openings with rendered sills throughout, having rendered reveals. Decorative rendered flushed and eared surrounds with gabled to first floor of public house. Two-over-two pane timber sliding sash windows to ground floor of front (west) elevation. Replacement two-over-two pane timber sliding sash windows to side (north) elevation. uPVC and timber casement windows elsewhere. Square-headed door openings throughout, having replacement glazed timber door with concrete lintel and rendered doorstep. Timber shopfront comprising panelled fascia board to front elevation surmounted by cornice. Square-headed window opening with render sill, having fixed timber-framed eight-pane display window. Square-headed door opening with double-leaf timber panelled door.

Set at a crossroads this building occupies a prominent position in the village. Its historic character has been maintained though the retention of historic features including sash windows, render detailing and a simple shopfront.
