What is recorded here
Entrance walls and gates to the former Bord na Móna briquette factory, erected in 1961, comprising a pair of rendered triangular shaped piers with red brick and concrete blocks. Circular openings for light fittings in the centre of the triangular piers. Lights missing.
The German firm Buckau Wolf designed this Modernist briquette factory in 1961. These entrances gates are quite unusual within the county with their striking triangular shaped gate posts.
