Bishopstown Castle, also called Bishop's Court, was a tower house on Bishop of Meath land in Killare parish, recorded in the Down Survey and drawn as ruined in 1837. Residents remember a three-acre enclosure with a ten-foot bank and stone facing, but by the early 1950s that defensible shape had been levelled into ordinary farmland.
