Birra Lake Peninsula Fairy Fort — Report the wrong picture

Marianne and her siblings ran the fort like a game, climbing the low bank and pointing at the water until her mother pulled them back. The lake had taken their father weeks before, and the children still searched its edge for him. They dropped bread crumbs into the green swell and waited for a hand to rise. The fort stood empty on its peninsula, but they kept returning because empty places remember the shape of the people who last entered them.

Internal diam. 30m-33.5m. An oval space enclosed by an earthen bank surviving .5m in height. It is situated on the possibly artificially levelled, crest of a drumlin and is naturally defended. Gaps to the W and S may indicate entrances. It is partially overgrown. Located on a peninsula jutting into a small tidal lake alongside two other enclosures on similar peninsulas.
