What is recorded here

The official built-heritage record describes battered stone walls, projecting gun positions, firing holes and part of the old barracks. The battery guarded the important Belleek bridge and roads after the 1798 rebellion. It was occupied by several forces during the fighting around the border in the early 1920s and is now partly joined to a private home.
A local fairy fort (ringfort/rath); wider significance not recorded.

The surviving fort is partly joined to a private home. View only from public ground unless the owner gives permission.
