What is recorded here

Belanagare Well vanished from Rahan before the last surveyors arrived, leaving only a name at a T-junction where water once drew devotion. It resisted forgetting long enough to appear on three maps across nearly a century, yet the ground now offers no basin, stone or shadow to explain its absence. What remains is a hole in local memory: a place important enough to mark, then empty enough to disappear.

Marked on 1842, 1905 and 1935 OS 6-inch maps and named 'Belanagare Well'. Located at T-junction in road. No visible surface trace of well.
