Detached L-plan two-storey former stable block, built c. 1760, converted to house c. 1955, following burning of Ballymagooly House. Comprises seven-bay south range and ten-bay west range, with return to east end of south range having three-bay east elevation, further three-bay recessed block attached to latter, widening of rear of south block under castslide roof, and recent single-storey flat-roofed extension to rear of west range. Hipped slate roofs with rendered chimneystacks. Painted roughcast rendered walls. Round-headed openings to first floor of front and east elevations of blocks with three-over-six pane timber sliding sash windows having Y-tracery to upper sashes. Elliptical-arched former vehicular entrances to front and east elevations of blocks, now partially blocked up, those to south range having inserted doors and windows. Square-headed window openings elsewhere, ground floor having six-over-six pane timber sliding sash windows. Pointed arch openings to ground floor east elevation of south-east block, having six-over-nine pane timber sliding sash windows with Y-tracery to upper sashes, and render sills. Pair of square-headed eighteen-over-eighteeen pane timber sliding sash windows to rear of east block, having elliptical-headed traceried detail to upper sashes. Square-profile rubble sandstone piers to road entrance, with urn finials and double-leaf timber gates.

These former stables are a fine example of Georgian demesne architecture. They comprise formal well-proportioned blocks with integral vehicular entrances and are enhanced by the retention of features such as the Gothic-style timber sash windows and slate roofs.
