What is recorded here

Detached seven-bay single-storey former national school, built c.1841, with gabled central porch. Now in use as house. Hipped tile roof, with rendered chimneystack. Roughcast rendered walls, with limestone plaque to porch and with render platbands. Render surrounds to openings with hood mouldings. Wrought-iron railings set on roughcast rendered plinth walls.
This former school is located in a prominent position in Robinstown at the crossroads and it makes a positive contribution to the streetscape. Though many features and materials have been replaced, the building retains its original form and date plaque. Plaque reads: 'Bective National School 1841'.
