Bay Bridge

Three-arch humpback road bridge over a river, built c.1840. The bridge is constructed in rubble, with the three segmental arches rising from dressed granite piers which have a mixture of bevelled granite and battered concrete bases. The arches have dressed granite voussoirs with dressed granite as coping to the low parapets. The bridge has had tie-rods inserted and there is a later buttress to the south-western corner of the structure; a mid 20th-century pipe now spans the south side also.

Largely original mid 19th-century road bridge, marred only by the placing of a pipe along the south side.
