Bawn in Mullaghnoney is a 67-metre enclosed yard beside a tower house in County Tipperary, Ireland, recorded in the 1654 Civil Survey as a castle with two houses and a bawn. The tower stands on limestone at the northeast corner while a low bank, scarp and quarry face mark the other sides. No entrance remains clear, suggesting the bawn was entered through a gap later lost or deliberately hidden. It may have served as a defensive courtyard, a working yard or a boundary marker for a local family, but the missing entrance and disturbed ground leave its exact purpose uncertain.

Remains of bawn (dims. 66.7m N-S; 37m E-W) visible SW of tower house (TS076-042001-), at a slightly lower level. Bawn is described in Civil Survey (1654-6) 'Upon the sd lands stands a castle, the walles of two houses with a bawne about them' (Simington 1931, vol. 1, 303). The tower house is located on limestone outcrop in the NE angle of the bawn. Lot of disturbed ground in interior. The bawn is delineated by a low broad bank on W and S side (Wth 8.2m; H above int. 0.69m; H above ext. 0.18m), by scarp on N side (Wth 3.8m; H 0.86m) and by quarry face on E side. The Bawn in Mullaghnoney was associated with a tower house and documented in the 1654–5 Civil Survey, indicating it was held by a local Gaelic or Anglo-Irish family during the 17th century.
